Sherlock review

Part 2: The Sign of Three

First of all, Sherlock totally made up for all the assholeness in the first episode! He even confessed what an arsehole he is! This was the cutest episode ever!

The best man speech: just priceless! Sherlock makes you hate him so much at first and then he says such sweet things and you love him all the more after that. Seriously! How is that even possible?! And I have to admit, I shed a few tears at the probably most awkward but also brilliant best man speech ever. His wonder at all the crying was simply adorable and funny. And that's how quickly I forgot my resolution from the first episode to never let Sherlock move me to tears again. Your favourite sociopath: Knows how to play people since 2010!

Then John hugged Sherlock and I died! Gotta feel the bromance! Besides, this was THE bromance episode! Absolutely loooooved it! Their relationship was re-established even beyond its former glory. Sherlock's confession that he solves crimes and John saves lives was one of the sweetest things he could ever say. This flashback of the strange case with the guardsman, was really intense. When he was still breathing, I almost lost it! And then John called Sherlock nurse and it was just beyond everything... I was hyperventilating and basically dying again! ^^

I also like how Mary doesn't disturb the dynamic between the two of them. She totally played the boys! So funny! (Go on, Sherlock. Take him out on a case! Come on, John. Take Sherlock out on a case!) Thumbs up for that! ;-P

But the emotional rollercoaster in this episode also makes me look forward to the next one, which is supposed to be a bit darker and dangerous again. Time to see Sherlock Holmes and John Watson in action again! (throughout the whole episode, that is)

At the same time, I lament the fact that this is probably the most human we will ever get to see Sherlock. I loved his smile when he accidentally told Mary and John about her pregnancy. I think we should keep it in our hearts how sweet he was at the wedding, when he lets (mildly put) his rudeness thrive again in the next episode. So, let's look forward to cursing our favourite sociopath again. Argh! There's the emotional rollercoaster all over again! xD But that's exactly the reason why we love to watch Drama, right?

So far I've just covered the wedding, but let's go back to the stag do, which in my opinion deserves an Oscar! ;-P Watching Sherlock evaluating how much they can drink and them being back after about two hours impossibly drunk, was simply great fun! Then the most hilarious thing ever happens: Sherlock and John try to solve a case in their intoxicated state. The cherry on top was the world famous sleuth falling asleep, while he's cluing for looks and to end the night on a fitting note he vomits on the carpet. If you didn't die of laughter at that point you certainly did when John said: "Yes, but am I a pretty lady?"

In the beginning I said that this was the cutest episode, but it is also the funniest episode! TMI, Molly! "We're having a lot of sex!" Well done to Sherlock for remembering Tom's name! But he still didn't remember Lestrade's name!!!
And little Archie was adorable too! "For that you get a headless nun!" Oh, Sherlock and children - a bit morbid but funny nonetheless! ;-P
